Chairman

Jim Mueller Chairman of the Board at Mid America Capital.

Jim is an experienced executive and advisor with expertise in mergers and acquisitions, creative financial structure, business valuations, new business ventures and strategic partnerships and alliances.

Jim is an experienced international entrepreneur and recognized leader within the investment community, manufacturing, construction and food industries. Jim has held a variety of executive positions and roles as a consultant, advisor and principal with many companies specifically focused in construction, manufacturing and agriculture.

Previously, Jim served as a principal of a specialty investment banking firm in the Washington DC area that focused on real estate financing, mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance and loan workouts.

Mueller holds a BS in Environment Design and Construction Management from the University of Missouri.

Managing Partner

John Mueller is a managing partner at Mid America Capital.

John specializes in the turnaround of challenged companies advising in executive management, cash flow, and bank negotiations. John has served in all levels of executive management primarily in the food, manufacturing, and construction industries.

John currently serves as President of RMI Worldwide LLC. John has managed RMI and other portfolio companies in the process of turning them around to profitibility. John has additionally managed a number of (MAC) portfolio companies over the last 10 years.

In 2001, John founded a frozen food company with sales across the United States, including premier customers like Wal-Mart and Costco. John sold that operation in 2006. Prior to 2001, John served as a founder and Vice President for a $25 million food manufacturing company.

Mueller holds a BS in Political Science from the University of Missouri.

Chief Financial Officer

Scott Marshall is a partner at Mid America Capital.

Scott has over 30 years of senior management operations experience leading organizations from 50+ employees and subcontractors doing $6 million in revenue to large multi-state regional organizations with responsibility for over 2,200+ employees and subcontractors doing in excess of $300 million in annual revenue in the broadband communications industry.

He has been the Vice President/General Manager for new/replacement construction build outs ranging from $30 million to $120 million plus in St. Louis, MO., Washington, D.C., Houston, TX. and Detroit, MI. Scott also managed his own company doing subcontracting work in the broadband communication industry performing work from California to Virginia and from Florida to Texas.

Scott currently serves as the CFO for 22 other companies in the Mid America portfolio of investments. These companies were either troubled company acquisitions that MAC are in the midst of turning around or new ventures started by the principals of Mid America and financed by Mid America, outside investors and/or senior lenders.

Scott holds a BA in Business Administration with an emphasis in accounting from Graceland University and is a CPA.

Startup and Operational Specialist

Blake Ashby is a Startup and Operational Specialist at Mid America Capital.

In fields ranging from healthcare to technology to consumer products to foodservice, Blake Ashby brings over thirty years of startup and business development experience to Mid America Capital. He was a co-founder of one of the first data-centric competitive phone providers in the Midwest, Primary Network Communications, and prepared the first business plan for SAVVIS Communications, now a global data backbone provider. As a founding member of an electronic standards development body for the U.S. Meat and Poultry Industry, mpXML.org, Blake ran the organization for eight years. Cumulatively, he has assisted over 100 businesses in planning, funding, launch and exit.

Ashby also regularly serves as a mentor and coach for Washington University's business school Hatchery.

 

Startup and Operational Specialist

Jared Akers is a Startup and Operational Specialist at Mid America Capital.

Having enjoyed success at companies such as Intouch Solutions, Lockton Companies, Security Benefit Group and Houlihan’s, Mr. Akers brings to Mid America Capital 20 years of deep management experience in operations, project management, business system analysis and technology.

Mr. Akers holds a degree in Information Technology from Phoenix University and a Masters in Business Administration from Baker University.

Operational Specialist

Jay Wardrip is a partner at Mid America Capital.

He is a seasoned construction and manufacturing executive with thirty years of experience in equipment manufacturing and the building trades; including underground construction, heavy highway, land development and construction consulting.

Jay's general construction and manufacturing knowledge and expertise in a leadership role, primarily at the management level, provide him the ability to analyze and develop practical solutions for client needs that include establishing project goals and objectives.

An excellent people manager, he excels at motivating and developing personnel into key members of the team.

Wardrip holds a Bachelor's in Industrial Technology from Northwest Missouri State University.

Troubled Asset Consultant

David George has recently agreed to join the team at Mid America Capital as a Troubled Asset Consultant.

David is a business professional with more than 25 years of experience forming multi-million dollar companies with an emphasis in sales, marketing, and business development.

He has been the former CEO and President of a multi-level retail operation with over $650 million dollars in annual sales. He purchased 3 vacant property developments totaling 55 acres of ground and oversaw the development of streets, utilities, etc. and the sales of the individual lots.

In the entertainment and gaming sector, David procured a license from Elvis Presley Enterprises and developed a board game which was sold under the name “Elvisopoly” tm.

David also achieved a $10M dollar commitment to move forward Magellan T. Bear Project to help teach children about Geography and successfully lobbied to have Magellan placed in the National Air and Space museum in Washington where it currently resides as a permanent exhibit.

Accounting

Krystal Wright started with the company as an office administrator in 2006.

She has continued to take on new responsibilities and now oversees accounting for several of MAC's portfolio companies.

Krystal is currently earning her BS in Business Management with an emphasis in Marketing from Park University.

Administrator

Jessica Squires is an administrator for MAC.

She functions as the company's office manager and point of first contact for Mid America Capital clients.

Jessica has a Public Relations and Social Media degree from Northwest Missouri State University.
